C.O.R.A.L.S Program
The Mitchellville Drifters CORALs (Character-built, Original, Resolute, Aspiring, Leaders) program is a youth mentorship program for Kindling and Splinters that pairs young people with supportive, positive role models to guide them through personal, academic, and social development. Our program offers guidance, encouragement, and access to new experiences and opportunities, ultimately contributing to the mentees' well-being and success.
The CORALs program was initiated as a 2015-2016 activity of our Chapter for girls aged 11-17. The program is designed to extend the vision of Drifters by cultivating charitable, civic, educational, and social interest through: 1) Leadership Development, 2) Educational Enrichment, and 3) Character Building. The CORALs program focuses on skills and talents of Kindling, Splinter, and sponsored girls with an emphasis on becoming contributors within their local communities, as well as in other venues.
